Summer birthdays

Haven't updated my blog in a while... Here are some pics from the kids' birthdays this summer.

Jonah turned 8 in July. He had a birthday cake at home the day of his birthday. Here he is with Mom and Grumpy.

And his brother.With his siblings, who, wisely or not, adore him.Jayden turned 5 in August, a few days after her brother's birthday. Had a small gathering of friends at Country Club Lanes. Here she is with her brothers, who, for better or worse, adore her.Getting ready to blow out the candle of her Star Wars cake. She is such the tomboy -- won't wear dresses, wants a buzz cut like her brothers, anything they can do she can do better.Me trying to lead five-year olds in a game of Captain's Coming!, akin to Simon Says but with more mayhem.All in all, Debbie and I think our kids had fun on their birthdays. And we didn't have big messes to clean up in the house. Yay!
