The family had a good year in 2011. Jesse is doing well in his first year (9th grade) at Cambridge School of Weston. He's made friends in his dorm, particularly with students from overseas. He likes his teachers, who are patient and encourage him to speak out with his out-of-the-box ideas. Jesse seems happy, especially since he gets lots of time to play online with his friends. As long as he gets decent grades, we don't complain.
Jonah is doing great in 5th grade -- has his friends, getting great grades. He is applying to private school for 6th grade. He enjoys learning kung fu, playing violin in school. Jonah is rewatching the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series on DVD again -- Geordi and Data are his favorite crew members. He loves putting together Star Wars Lego sets. Jonah gives Marshall the cat his wet food twice a day and Tonks the beagle her dry food in the evening.
Jayden is having a good time in 2nd grade, chatting it up with her friends. She has terrific handwriting. She can tell time on a clock with hands. She devours Diary of a Wimpy Kid and My Weird School books. Her favorite movies, which she likes to watch over, and over, and over, and over again, include Yogi Bear, Grown Ups, and Aliens in the Attic. Jayden likes going to church, where she hangs out with her best bud and fellow 2nd grader Jake.
Debbie made partner at her law firm! She's really good at what she does - preparing for trial, commanding the courtroom, researching and writing briefs, etc. She enjoys mentoring associates. Debbie does a lot of volunteer work at our church. This year she wants a new, sportier car.
