In 2011 I got my old job back. I feel very very lucky. My unemployment insurance was about to run out. I was close to getting a long-term sub assignment as a high school math teacher. But unfortunately Jesse's tuition and room & board would have been a lot more difficult to afford.
After two years off, I feel reinvigorated back at work. It took me a while to learn the new business and its technology platform, but I think I got my mojo back. And it feels nice.
